Atjeh or Aceh or more newer name NAD (Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam) was very conflict field. I was visited Banda Aceh capital city of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam at October 13th 2009 2 days after Hasan Tiro had first time visit as a founder of GAM (Aceh Freedom Movement) after 30 years to Banda Aceh. Finally after 4 hours flight from Jakarta including transit at Medan, arrived at Iskandar Muda Airport. The Airport is still under development to become International Airport. Ground temperaturewas was very hot and it’s hotter than Jakarta maybe because Banda Aceh is coastal beach city. If you want to go to central of city there is no official taxi here and it’s costs about 70.000 rupiah. Many of Aceh people is looked unfriendly. But try to talk to them you will feel that most of them are very friendly, so don’t judge the book by it’s cover like tukul said (You know tukul ? tukul is Indonesian famous comedian).

The first thing i always find in my traveling is… Yes right, food!! .. Many of you maybe though Aceh Noodles because it’s famous Aceh food in Jakarta. Mie Razali is the one of famous Aceh noodles in Banda Aceh. Located at Panglima Polim Street near Sulthan Hotel. One of famous food I had not time to try is catch chicken (ayam tangkap). And I promise someday i will back to Banda Aceh to try ayam tangkap.

Witness of tremendous tsunami waves. Diesel barge with dead weight 2600 tons floated 5 km far away from edge of Ulee Lheue beach. This barge have 63 m long and 1600 m2 area and can burst power output 10,5 Megawatt stranded at Punge Blang Cut, Jaya Baru Banda Aceh district. This barge now becoming a tour destination.
